Fancy frames and photo shapes

This webinar will teach you how to create shapes with your photos and also create fancy edges on your photos.  The webinar is about 10 minutes long.  The following instruction pages are provided for you to save and follow.  Please let me know if you need further help or have questions.

Frames and fancy edge photos - Page 006

  1. Start with your selected photo
  2. On the Format Photos ribbon in the Frames group choose Select.
  3. Select Double Mat
  4. On the Format Photos ribbon select Format.  The window will look like this one.
  5. Click first on Flat Shadow mat.  Change the color and change the shape to Ellipse and change the opacity to 0
  6. Click on the second Flat Shadow Mat and change the shape to Ellipse and change the color to match your page.  (do not adjust the opacity on this one)

To use the shape again simply right click on the photo/frame and choose remove photo from frame.

  1. On the Format Photos ribbon in the Frames section choose Select.
  2. If you have purchased the fancy edges packages you can select the down arrow where it says Frames.
  3. Select the package you want and then the desired edge.

The papers used in these examples are the photo mats from the Hummingbird collection.

Template from a friend

I have been at a crop with a bunch of great women and making new friends.  One friend Debbie McBrayer made a wedding book for her daughter.  When I saw this template it had to placed on this blog to share with my friends.  Thanks Debbie for sharing.

Templates 12 x 12

The kit used for this page is from Cottage Garden Digital Kit.

Paper is paper14 and all the embellishments are from the same kit.  Text box font is Andy 14

With this page I selected a dark brown color and added the grass texture to the whole page.  Then I added the Cheerful Digital Overlay1, the text box it Andy 14. 

To get the soft edges, put your photos into the photo boxes, make sure they are the way you want them to be and then flatten each one.  On the Format ribbon, select Filters and choose Soften edge.  I used 57 for the number on the soft edge.  You can use the slider to adjust and make more softness if you like.

Sometimes you just want to have a full page with a beautiful photo you took.  Well, here are a couple of pages for you to get ideas from.   You might even use the photo boxes as a text box to tell your story.  These are 12x12 pages.  Enjoy!!
